Expertise
Our mediation process involves impartial facilitation, open communication, and voluntary agreement. Mediation is a voluntary, confidential process designed to help parties in conflict reach a mutually acceptable agreement with the assistance of a neutral third party - the mediator. Unlike a judge, the mediator does not impose a decision but facilitates open communication, helps clarify issues, and guides participants toward a resolution that works for everyone involved.

The parties start the process by working with the mediator to pick a mutually convenient date, time, and location for the mediation; filling out paperwork that helps the mediator understand the issues in the case; and then signing a mediation agreement that contains detailed information as to the process and expectations during mediation. Agreements made during mediation will be reduced to writing and signed by all parties, ensuring mutual understanding and a clear path forward.

MEET OUR MEDIATOR
I bring diverse legal and conflict resolution experience to ensure successful outcomes of disputes aiding both self-represented litigants and those with counsel. With over 35 years of experience in the legal field , I have served in many capacities, some of which include that as a litigator, a certified mediator, a family law collaborative attorney, and a court appointed temporary judge presiding over mandatory settlement conferences.

Before embarking on the formation of Strasser Mediation Services here in the great state of Texas, I gained valuable experience working out of state where I was the founder and managing partner of my own law firm and mediation practice. During my years as a litigator, I witnessed firsthand how courtroom battles could take a toll not only on the individuals involved but also their families and businesses. It became clear to me that the traditional legal path often deepened conflict rather than promoting an amicable resolution for both parties. That realization led me to pursue this mediation practice - so that I can have a hand in a more constructive, respectful way for people to resolve their disputes, move forward, and build a better tomorrow. I hold the "Credentialed Mediator" designation from the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association, and I have completed the Texas 30 hour training "Suits Affecting the Parent-Child Relationship and Other Family Disputes" including a focus on the dynamics of family violence.

I pride myself on being a thoughtful listener and a creative problem solver. In every mediation, I create a safe and respectful space where all voices are heard and valued. By carefully listening to each person's perspective, I help uncover the core issues at hand and guide the conversation towards resolution. My creative approach allows me to explore flexible, out-of-the-box solutions that meets everyone's needs and lead to lasting, meaningful agreements.
